I’m Melissa Fish, an M&A attorney who helps founders and business owners buy and sell companies. I also work with independent sponsors and acquisitive companies building through strategic purchases.

Every deal has a story behind the numbers. A founder may be selling the business they spent years building. A buyer may see an opportunity but need to understand exactly what comes with it. My job is to help clients make informed decisions about the deal they’re actually doing. From how the purchase price is paid to what happens with employees, customers, liabilities, and ownership after closing.

I began my legal career at K&L Gates in Century City, working on transactions for public and private companies. Today, I bring that experience to a more personal practice. My clients work directly with me, and I aim to give them clear advice, thoughtful deal terms, and a steady hand when negotiations get complicated.
